Amanda Lewis
Amanda Lewis is a native of Akron, Ohio where she started her training. In her junior year of high school she moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and trained with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre under the direction of Marjorie Grundvig, Dennis Marshal, and Janet Popeleski. She trained with Milwaukee Ballet in their PPP program under the direction of Tatiana Jouravel-Malinkine. She did two years in Milwaukee Ballet II in their second company and she is currently dancing with the Milwaukee Ballet as an apprentice performing ballets including Dracula, Nutcracker, Mr. Shein, Cinderella, and a mixed work.
She started choreographing in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Student Showcase and continued when she was working with Milwaukee ballet II.
She’s made 10 small works in last 3 years. She won the People’s Choice Award and New Century’s Dance Project Choreographic Competition in August of 2024.
